The History of Jones Auto Group | Arizona

Tom Jones had a dream of owning his own business to provide for his family. In 1970, with the help of his father, Glenn, they bought an existing car dealership in Wickenburg, AZ. They founded their business on core values of honesty, integrity, hard work, and taking care of people. Those who knew Glenn knew he was a man of his word, and he taught the importance of integrity to his children. Since they opened, the Jones family of dealerships have never been open on Sunday to allow their employees the opportunity to enjoy time with their families. After a few years, they added a Chrysler franchise in Wickenburg.

In 1980 Tom's brother, Ron joined the family business and they purchased a Ford dealership in Buckeye,AZ. In 1985 they expanded their business when they acquired a Ford dealership in Casa Grande, AZ and added a Buick/GMC franchise in 1989. In the last few years, the Wickenburg dealership has moved to a larger facility and they've built a new facility in Buckeye. Tom's and Ron's children now help in various capacities throughout the dealerships.
The Jones dealerships continue to operate with the same core values as when they began In 1970.
The Jones dealerships collectively have an Inventory of about 1,000 vehicles. They stand behind their vehicles by Including a Lifetime Powertrain Protection on almost every used vehicle they sell (see dealer for details). The Jones family is thrilled about the opening of their newest store In Verde Valley. They are glad to be a part of this wonderful community.

Our philosophy has been to operate small town dealerships just outside the Metro Phoenix area in order to offer the small town buying experience and keep our cost down in order to sell vehicles for less than the big city dealerships'.
